Default Ferguson 3364 stylus

I just bought a great Ferguson 3364 radiogram but the stylus broke in transit!
Anyone know where to get one?
Also, the turntable sounds a bit dodgy so it might be easier to replace the unit?
I really don't know much about them but want to play the vinyls!
Thanks, Gary

It's highly unlikely that a stylus (needle) can break unless the tone arm was not clamped down in transit. Do you mean stylus or cartridge? If it is the stylus, then it's highly likely that you radiogram will use a BSR C series autochanger and these will be fitted with a BSR stereo cartridge. If you send a photo of these we can advise as to a suitable stylus. If you can see a designation on the cartridge - e.g. SX6M - then do an online search for the stylus. Now, when you say the turntable sounds "dodgy" what does this mean? These turntables can usually be serviced well with no need for any kind of replacement.

It depends on which cartridge is fitted. This is the bit that holds the stylus, and may well have been replaced at some time. Somewhere on the cartridge will be identifying make/number. It may be on the top,out of sight, so you may have to carefully unclip the cartridge to see it. There may also be numbers on the actual stylus, if it is one of the "flip-under" type.
