Some people have odd ideas about the "sound" of capacitors and even lengths of cable. They are known as audiophools to many!

However, I would buy from a known online shop such as CPC, RS, Cricklewood Electronics or similar to remove the risk of buying fake capacitors, particularly electrolytics.

I've got an account with CPC but I've also found that Watford Valves seem to be pretty good as well.

Look here, on an amplifier as basic as this as is on your Conquest, don't worry about any of this. Just buy seperate capacitors as near as the values to the original. It will all be fine. You will not hear any difference beween a 50p cap and a £5.00 one.
