Default VU Meter for B77/PR99 etc.

Have a B77 (and a PR99) both working....but need 1 X vu meter mechanism.
OR...someone with the skill to refit kyboshed spring to the existing one.

Here's a pic.....there is some corrosion....but that isn't preventing the pointer from swinging!!

Are you sorted Kev? if not I have some spare VU meters that have identical movements in them, I have already removed one to rplace the movement in a faulty signal strength meter and it works well.

Hello Kev, I got it slightly wrong. The meter I replaced was identical to yours.
I took the movement out from the faulty one, it was just stuck in place, and replaced it with the movement from the spare VU meter, it was an exact fit.
I had to paint the pointer white with a thin coat of Humbrol enamel.
The solder lugs are 11.2mm between centres, the outside of the U shaped magnet is 14.1mm across. The pointer is 28mm long from the centre of the pivot.
Again the movement is just lightly stuck in and comes free with a bit of gentle persuasion.
Its 300uA fsd.

I have another spare which you can have free if you want it.

Peter
