Default WANTED: Chrome chassis handles 5" (127mm) centres

Hi. I'm wanting a pair of chrome plated chassis handles (rounded) with 5" between the fixing bolts/screws. I'm offering say 7 for a pair + postage. Please PM me if you think you can help. Thank you. Rich

EDIT: 17:02 pm: Someone just contacted me in Scarborough. Since I'll be in that area in December maybe this contact will prove fruitful. I'll let folks know if I get sorted, or not. Rich

5" is an odd size, plenty of 4" on ebay as well as the odd 6", only place I know has then is Penn Elcom - https://www.penn-elcom.com/default.a...01031101&LG=EN

Hi. It did not work out with the chap in Scarborough, because his handles are aluminium, not chrome. Will look at pen-elcom in a minute and see what gives. Rich

EDIT: pen-elcom don't sell 127mm or 5" centre handles. Only 118mm or 4.64".

I'm putting handles on a vintage RME-45B and the holes in the panel that allow that are 5" centres.

I can get 5" ones here:

https://www.hammfg.com/electrical/pr...cessories/1427

But, if anyone has a second-hand pair, that would be great. Not common seemingly. Rich

Didn't know Hammond did handles too, good to know for future reference.

I had quite a dig round to find my only pair of 5" ones, but don't know if still wanted now.

HI. OK, this is what has happened: First offer was aluminium, so not as wanted. Second turned out to be 5 1/4" centres. That left one more response to deal with. At that point I thought I'd look at what Amazon is selling. And found "D handle" type here:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Curved-hand...s=chrome+128mm

Also other "D type" as well. So, I'm buying 6 handles for 4.99 and free postage. Amazon though forced me onto a trial period of "Prime". So, I'm sorted. Apologies to "robinshack" for the searching done without a result. It's a no brainer to go for these D type handles. Rich

It'll be interesting what the chrome effect is like. It suggests a plastic-coat finish, but please keep us informed. Very good price.

If these handles at 4.99 for 6 don't look good enough, I'll probably go for two of these at 3.19 each, free postage:

It may be that real chroming nowadays involves a bit too much costly adherence to environmental legislation all the way from extraction to disposal? (Most of its compounds are quite unpleasant to life!) The "chrome effect" may be a fairly honest description of "alternative shiny metallic preparation", just not actual chrome.
