Default I need someone to technically renovate an elderly radiogram.

My daughter lives near Wantage and has an elderly but immaculate radiogram that used to belong to her grandfather. It doesn't work and she is looking for someone to bring it back to life. In other words, its not working either in playing records or operating the radio. I looked through the Internet and came up with your details and I wonder if anyone could point us in the direction of where we could find someone with the appropriate skills whom we would be willing to pay to get the machine working.

Hi Brian

There are a number of forum members who could probably help. It would be useful to have a few more details and a couple of photos. The make and model should be printed somewhere on the rear of the unit. That will enable us to determine its age and what sort of 'technology' lies inside.
Whilst not advocating plugging it in again, when you tried it out were there any signs of life ?
Turntable spinning, dial lit up etc.

Good Morning, & welcome to the forum.

You might get more answers if you can provide the make/model and age of the radiogram.
I'm too far away from you, but there will probably be someone who can help.

David.

Many thanks for your replies which I have taken due note of and I will visit my daughter who has the radiogram to acquire the details. By the way, is there any point in taking a photograph of the innards' and is it possible to upload them?
