Lower deviation level on BBC Radio 2?
Hi all, I was just wondering if anyone else in the North of England has noticed a reduction in the transmit audio level i.e. deviation on BBC Radio 2 in the last week or so? I have noticed that I need to turn the volume up for the same sound level on three separate sets. If not, my ears are definitely losing their gain! The transmitter in question is I believe Burnhope on 88.5MHz.

I don't know about Radio 2, but I've just been listening to R4's Front Row and it was so blimmin' quiet I had to wind the audio volume right up. Just to check, I switched to R2 and it almost blew my head off! TX Holme Moss.

Re: Lower deviation level on BBC Radio 2?
I've just been listening to R4 and it sounds like it normally does (Oxford / Beckley). Anybody using Sutton Coldfield like to comment?

Re: Lower deviation level on BBC Radio 2?
Sutton Coldfield seemed to be OK on all stations normally receivable here after the usual hunt for a decent signal (it is blocked by the hill half a mile to the west), last checked a couple of days ago. I didn't notice any difference anyway. I'll give it another go once I've managed to move this snoozing cat! All the main stations are programmed in to my Roberts R809 so I can flip between them.
