Fidelity Playtime tape recorder
can anyone help ?
I have a fidelity playtime reel to reel tape recorder, and I would like to gain access to replace belts ect but the unit appears to have metal clips holding the top and bottom of the machine together 2 on each side, but I cant figure out how you release them without damaging the case as its only plastic any advice |

Re: fidelity playtime tape recorder
Hi
You literally have to lever these clips away from the cabinet, carefully, using a flat headed screwdriver and placing a piece of cardboard or a towel between the clip and the casing to avoid marking the case! They are a complete pain, unfortunately. It's no wonder that on the Mk 2 Playtime, Fidelity changed the method of access to screw fittings. Regards David |
