Default Pye LV20 chassis servicing position

Just a quick question, when servicing below chassis, should the chassis be placed on its front with the tube face supported on foam or should it be placed on either side with a support strut? It is not an easy chassis to support given its wedge shape.

Rebuilt one years ago, certainly all i can remember is possibly supporting the crt face on something.
As long as there is no stress on the crt,all will be fine and they perform very well.Beware of course the slider pots int or o/c.

I have yet to start on my LV20, but when restoring my LV51F (12" screen), I put the chassis on it's side, you could work on it upside down if you knocked up a support frame with some scraps of wood, this is how I tackled my D18T chassis.

Thanks for your help, I think I shall go for the "face down" approach.
