Mystery Radio
Anybody recognise or have any information about this 1920's battery set? Cheers, Jerry

Re: Mystery Radio
Hi Jerry, looks quite an interesting set, probably had bright emitters by the fil rheostats and possibly could have had the ability to switch a stage out for local station use.
The circuit will be quite simple and will be similar to many in the publications of the time. Dirty connections (mechanical) and possibly transformer windings o/c may be problems, but it should be possible to get it working well. Do not buy expensive bright emitters as later style dull emitters will work just as well (Mullard PM series) and be a lot cheaper and more robust, Ed |

Re: Mystery Radio
Hi Ed, thanks for the info. The only other data I have managed to gather is that it is marked with the name A J SEIKERT GREY but whether that is the maker, perhaps a private individual, I've no idea. I thought I'd add it anyway in case it jogs somebody's memory. Cheers, Jerry
