PCB layer linking pins
All,
What are those small pins for linking PCB sides called. The ones that come as a length and you snap them off once inserted. MM |

Re: PCB layer linking pins
'Rivet strip' ? I remember them but it seems not used much any more. Used a lot with Veroboard.
They call it 'Continuous Track Pin' https://www.newark.com/harwin/t1559f...pin/dp/93K1019 Funny that they discontinued a 'best seller' ... Last edited by donutty; 19th Feb 2020 at 4:15 pm. Reason: Update with manufacturer's name |

Re: PCB layer linking pins
Hollow ones were called "griplets" when I worked at Racal in the '70s.

Re: PCB layer linking pins
Or through hole rivets (although not in a bar, individual pieces)
http://www.fortex.co.uk/product/favo...nical-plating/ The rivets are cheap enough, but the machine cost will curl your toes (they can be fitted with a hand punch and hammer). |

Re: PCB layer linking pins
In my days doing transistor RF driver/low-power-output stages and needing to link the upper/lower copper on a PCB the through-hole, peened-and-soldered rivetty-thingies were always known as "Stags".
