Default Service data for a Sony TFM-1000

Hello,

Does anyone have the service data or circuit diagram for a 1964 Sony TFM-1000L AM/FM 14 transistor set please ? This is a set I bought on Sunday from Duke_Nukem and now it's clean it's turned out to be in very good undamaged condition. There's virtually nothing on the web about this set. It's not the prettiest transistor radio I've seen though ....

Howard

Hi Howard

Found this webpage selling the owner's and service manuals in pdf format for your set; http://www.manuals-in-pdf.com/TFM1000L-p-486836.html

You may have seen it already if you've already done an internet search. A little on the expensive side for a pdf files, but something to consider at least if another member can't help you out.

Hello Robert,

Thanks for looking for the service data for this Sony TFM-1000 on the web .... but $16.99 is more than the set is worth ! There is one UK site which might have it, no idea of the cost though.

Regards ..... Howard

Yes I did realise that they were probably charging more for the manual than what the set was worth.

Only other website that I've found selling the manual is at Diverse Devices; http://www.divdev.fsnet.co.uk/man.htm

They state that the manuals are actual paper copies and not pdf's, but don't give any indication of price.

I used Diverse Devices to get a copy of a Service Manual I needed. I don't remember it being too excessive - I'm a tightwad too! I was happy with the manual and the service I received.

I've had excellent service from NC at Diverse Diverses, although I had to pay a £1-something surcharge and collect the manual from the Post Office because of (slightly) underpaid postage last time I ordered something, and then had no response to my e-mail pointing this out

Nick.
