Default One Last Stab At This

Hi guys
I am still desperate to confirm who manufactured this deck and confirm its model number ?
I am pretty sure it goes by model or type CD780 but if I do a Google search for it. I get nothing other than a CD deck images or info. I was told by a gent on here that its Japanese.
I have attached an image again. Does anyone recognise it and/or able to tell me where I can get source a circuit diagram?
many thanks.

Pictures of the inside might help. The top looks European but the guts could be Japanese.

I agree with Vidjoman - it has a European look to it, possibly Philips?

I was told it wasn't Philips but Japanese. As far the model goes (CD780) I see lots of ref's at different sites offering schematics for SRX20 and the CD780 keeps popping up. I assumed they are referring to the cassette deck part of the system? The CD being short for Cassette Deck??

Looks like It's drawing blanks then. I can't believe this is being so hard to identify.

Look at the motor - any name on it? Look at other components - same. Look carefully at the PCB's there may be a name on there somewhere.
I think you have the wrong info about model numbers CDxxx usually refers to CD players hence your finds when searching.

Well actually it’s a Dynatron so presumably Philips. Found this one sold in Scarborough. Not the best of pictures but definitely the same model:

No model number though!

Does not help the situation, but I see that JVC did a few cassette decks prefixed with CD.

Click on the link and once the page opens add it to your favourites.

Or.

Click on the link and once the page opens copy the contents of the address bar. Paste this into a document.

Don't try copying the link itself, as it's truncated.

If you look at any sites offering manual for this model SRX20 they also list CD780 along side of or part of manual. It was an only lead I had so concluded "CD" denoted Cassette Deck. I know its short for Compact Disk but how many compact disk have you found in a Dynatron music centre/radio gram??

Hi Lawence
Thank you so there is meat on this then. I am not the only poster that thinks the Cassette deck model number is a CD780. The author of that post does however call it a CD780 Dolby. might there be a clue of its manufacture here? Did Dolby ever produce a cassette deck
The CD780 also sourced from Japan, the author of post goes on to say. I am happy its not a Philips and it is a CD780 but who made it??
