Sony ICF-SW7600 stuck in AM band - UK Vintage Radio Repair and Restoration Discussion Forum

Hi ,
My sony icf-sw7600 stuck in AM band and when I want to try to changing from AM to FM or SW by pressingthe band button nothing happend . please help

Have you tried removing the batteries/disconnecting any mains adapter for several minutes, then trying again? (I think this might also wipe the stored memories with this set, but I could well be mistaken). The controller chip may have got its head in a bit of a spin and need a power-off reset.
