Resistor for a TMK 500TU-B
My dear friends,
I have a TMK 500TU-B multimeter. One resistor is burnt, is a 34 Ohm resistor. As you can see it has been changed in the past but I can not "read" the colours, and probably is burnt because it was the wrong resistor. What kind of modern ones do you recommend? I think that the tolerance is 1%. There is a lot of info here about the TMK 500 multimeter but nothing about the 500TU-B one. Diagrams are very different! Thank you in advance!! |

Have you seen this video? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cn8-fxWBcAo Cheers Mike T

Re: Resistor for a TMK 500TU-B
This is the taut band version;
See #31 ; https://vintage-radio.net/forum/showthread.php?p=934350 You could use a 0.5W metal film resistor - 33 ohm in series with 1 ohm

So 500TU has the same diagram as 500TU-B I will keep that diagram then. |

Re: Resistor for a TMK 500TU-B
Some of the end caps of those green resistors seem to be touching.
The insulation (paint) may break down at high voltages. |
