Re: Jackson Brothers capacitors drives etc
With vat quoted at 17.5% it is at least 12 years old.
I would check with them first before orderi g anything. Prices today might be an even bigger shock! They used to have a stand at Donington Park national hamfest back in the day. Have seen them on ebay as well. Rob

Re: Jackson Brothers capacitors drives etc
If to look at the most recent company accounts filed in April 2022, you'll see from the balance sheet that there is little activity and net assets. At one time there were three officers listed in the accounts. Two resigned back in 2001, one in 2008, and another in 2017, since when there has only been one.
https://find-and-update.company-info...mpany/04195018 Though the company still exists, it looks very much as though it is dormant. As I recall, some years ago Jackson Bros had a fire at the factory and went out of business. There was little demand for their products as radio manufacturers had moved on from using variable capacitors. I believe that Mainline bought Jackson out, including the tooling, but I don't think they went back into production. The last radio rally they show as attending was Blackpool in 2016. Going back maybe thirty years, Mainline were quite an outfit with a comprehensive catalogue, and sold lots of HF and VHF transmitting modules and power transistors, but like Cirkit/Ambit, they had their 'moment in the sun' before the sun went down. They may still respond to enquiries and hold stock so it's well worth enquiring of there's anything anyone needs.

Mainline are still very active on ebay. Address details at the bottom left. Feedback in excess of 29000.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/253630888...Bk9SR-z4lJPMYQ Mods, I hope this isn't in breach of rules, I offer this as an example of trade being active still. Rob
