Default Trying to identify this light

Hello,
I am trying to identify this spot light recently retrieved at a boot sale.
Very few markings but it does have a halogen bulb and the xlr type power socket someone may recognize, I am not familiar with that brand. I think maybe 1970's but I am hoping someone here may be able to pin it down more precisely.
Thanks
Rod

That looks like an Amphinol connector.

My (guess)- that may be an on-board spotlight from a helicopter.

The modification record data plate certainly suggests a military connection.
Possibly for a military vehicle or boat.
Possibly for a helicopter, but these are often a discharge lamp rather than halogen.

I agree, it looks like some sort of military boat spotlight from the 70s or 80s. Irish Navy surplus maybe? It may have come from something small like a rigid inflatable.

If boat, suggest inshore/river patrol due to lack of any serious corrosion.

It may be a spare that has never been deployed.

The Irish navy isn't exactly blue water - the vessels are relatively small and mostly operate around the coast. There used to be a joke that the Irish have the only navy in the world where the sailors all go home for dinner
