New to forum, various vintage recorders found in loft
Hello!
I am new here. I wondered if someone could help. We have recently found a number of vintage tape recorders and reel to reel recorders in my parents loft and I was hoping someone could point me in the direction of a specialist dealer ........or any idea where i should contact for advice what to do with them |

Hello Davey and welcome,
"Tape recorders" covers a wide range, and the advice could vary. Can you give more details, preferably with photographs, to enable us to give the best advice. |

Re: New to forum, various vintage recorders found in loft
If these are domestic machines from the 60s, they're unlikely to be worth much so you shouldn't get your hopes up. People do collect such machines but supply exceeds demand.
If they are domestic hifi recorders from the 70s there will be more interest, but they still won't be worth a fortune. Recorders are only worth real money nowadays if they are semipro machines from the Japanese big boys or people like Ferrograph or Revox. Even then condition is very important. I guess you will know if your parents were into high end tape recording. As Bill says, a few photos will enable forum members to give you an honest assessment. There are some real tape recorder experts here. |

Even better if they were Nagra or Stellavox!
