Racal log periodic
I am continuing to sell the SK stuff I started recently...some interesting stuff which I can offer here first so please look.
However, there are two NOS Racal Type 752 log periodics I have in their cases and they look never used. Thing is, I cant find a reference for type 752. The racal catalogue 1986 shows a type 751, 30 to 76 MHz but no mention anywhere of a 752. Anyone shed any light?

Re: Racal log periodic
Just measure the lengths of the shortest and longest elements, assume to be halfwaves and you've got the max and min frequencies. Then count the number of elements. This gives you the number of elements per octave which is a fair indicator of gain and return loss ripple. A shufti at the connector will tell you whether its 50 or 75 ohms.

Re: Racal log periodic
Thanks. I saw that but can't be sure a Moonraker aerial is the same. I ASSUMED but...as you know about assumptions. The type 751 is also that spec so I guess the 752 is a slight variation
Thanks though.

Re: Racal log periodic
I think there is a typo in the advert. Racal Antennas numbers generally used the prefix "RA" so it would be RA752, not MA752.
RA752 data is attached. Peter |
