Default Replacement CRT for the Ekco TS105

The original CRM92 in my Ekco TS105 is useless.
I acquired the set last year and experieced some problems with RF section, it turned out that the receiver is a TRF tuned to Birmingham frequencies.
There is indication on the back cover that the set tunes to channel B4

So the set must a TS1105.

I'm going to try an unused Mazda CRM93. I know that this tube is a 9KV tetrode and has a 12.6volt heater. It has a ion trap so some fiddling about with the rear CRT support will be necessary.

I'll report how the CRT replacement goes.

Default Re: Replacement CRT for the Ekco TS105

I've fitted the CRM93 into the Ekco TS105. The raster is bight enough but as expected the focus is bad. The TS105 has permament focus magnets.
