Default R308 service manual / alignment wanted

Hi.

Recently come across two off R308's covering 20 to 145 MHz.

This is a new receiver to me as I have never heard of it before and I want to get them working so looking for service manual / alignment instructions and any general help.

Regards, Paul.

Some info available from this site, about two thirds down the page, but you'll have to jump through a lot of hoops in order to get it:-

http://www.royalsignals.org.uk/uk-co...lth-rx-tx.html

There's also a lot of info in "Wireless For The Warrior Volume 3 Reception sets".

There's a more easily accessible user manual (including circuit diagram) on the VMARS website.

Hi all
unfortunately the VMARS website does not include the alignment information and the CCT is a bit disjointed

The circuit in the VMARS archive looks totally useable to me, if not the prettiest - print the pages and stick them together!

I would take a look as WS36 - I think that was the matching transmitter

The receiver used with WS36 was, I think, the R208. As I understand it the R308 was an intercept receiver and thus didn't have an associated transmitter.
