Default Scottish Quickie

Folks, Anne & I were talking about a Sunday run to a garden centre & "Glendoick" just north of Perth on the A90 was considered. Me thinks - if I fill my boot with a heap of surplus test equipment(I've actually got 3 boot-loads) - I wonder if any of the Central Belt guys would fancy a similar Sunday run & meet up for an hour or so. An alternative would be the carpark at Kinross Service Station(We met up with Mark the Mender there once).
Any Sunday these summer weeks would do if there is a concensus of interested folk.
My ancestor - the original "David Fyfe" was born in Glendoick(1814), and a few more ancestors are buried in St Madoes Kirkyard nearby - hence the interest.
The Scopes, AVO's,VVM's, Sig Gens, PSU's, etc were listed a while back, and will go for next to nothing. I'll still have heaps left over for Norman's in October.

Regards, David

Hi David.
Super, name the day please as it will save me a fortune in petrol to head to your place.
Do you still want the Black Box valve amp?

Three are in, That'll do me. I'm free next Sunday, then Sun 7th Aug & Sun 14th Aug. Whichever suits Trevor, Al, Terry.
Trevor has already phoned & kindly offered to take my surplus Tranny Black Box in exchange for a spare BB valve amp. Anne will be pleased - the dresser will have a clear surface again.
Glendoick or Kinross SS ? Glendoick will suit those who are taking their other halves along for a run, & a promise of lunch & rake about a garden centre/country store might win them over. Whichever, I'm easy.
Usually when we've headed down that way - have got to Glendoick at 11ish , and Kinross about 11.30 ish. But again - I'm easy. I'm guessing that Kinross or G/D isn't much more than an hour or so from Glasgow or Edinburgh.

Regards, David

Glendoick would probably be the best and nicest run for us!

Folks, Would this coming Sunday be too short a notice ? Say 11ish at the carpark at Glendoick Garden Centre's Cafe, just a few yards off the A90 Dual Carriageway(L/H/S, heading north). It's well signposted.
Prahaps we could exchange Mobile Phone numbers by PM beforehand.
If folk would rather wait till the 7th or 14th Aug, please say.
This grotty wet weather that has plagued the Central Belt & the NE for the last week or so is supposed to clear away before the weekend. However, If the heavy downpours return on Sun morn, then it'll be no fun for anyone to get themselves drenched.

Regards, David

I'm ok for Sunday. Like Trev I would prefer a little later but it isn't that much of a problem. I can fit in with others needs.

Folks, Well - if Trevor & Al would rather wait till the 7th or 14th Aug, that's OK with me. Just pick a date & I'll go along with it, no problem.

Either of those dates would suit me better than this Sunday. I have some family who live close to Glendoick. They are on holiday at the moment so I would not get a chance to see them this weekend.

If Terry, Trevor & Norman agree with the 7th or 14th Aug, then lets try for the 7th. All those in favour - raise your hands.

This Sunday is OK with me but I cannot be there before 12 noon I am afraid this would also be the case with the other dates as we are Baby sitting on all of the Saturdays beforehand!
