Ferrite grade - FX2453 ?
I've got some massive ferrite blocks which came originally from a high power RF transformer. They look just the job for a ferrite loop aerial - glued together I would get a bar an inch by an inch by 10 inches. It'll be straightforward to find the inductance per turn, but it would be nice to discover the manufacturers spec. I'm pretty sure they came from Mullard - they are labelled "FX2453D1K".
Anyone got the old Mullard data book for ferrite components ?
