Default Re: Brittle Light Fittings

I have seen floor standing lamps fitted with four bulbs, 3 of 150 watts and one of 60 watts.
3 Bulbs mounted sideways in a triangle formation and one central bulb, cap down
Two switches, one for central bulb and another for the outer three. Used to be popular in large, old, or grand houses. Useful in places without ceiling mounted lights, only sockets at low level.

Sometimes the central bulb was yellow or pink for a relaxing light and the outer three bulbs white for reading etc.
