I received my kit yesterday thanks. Is there a list of the additional components that I need to obtain?

Hi Peter
My kit arrived safely this morning. Excellent documentation included, and a superb quality PCB. Many thanks again for your generous and dedicated efforts on this project. Mike |

Hi folks, I've assembled my kit. It worked first time. It's only run up on the bench and I've been testing it on the scope. Haven't tried to wobbulate anything yet. The outputs all seem to be doing what they are supposed to. Here's the frequency ranges I'm getting on the counter:
1. 342-644 KHz 2. 1.0-2.1 MHz 3. 2.9-6.1 MHz 4. 5.2-16.9 MHz On Range 4 above about 10.4 MHz the frequency setting is unstable but I think this is because of the long wires to the range switch. Grabbing them together with my hand stabilises things so hopefully when I get it in the box I might be able to shorten them a bit and/or position them to avoid this problem. Cheers, Jerry |

Thanks for the update Jerry, glad it works!
I think you are right about the switch wires. Peter |

I would certainly be interested if a second batch comes into fruition. Sure, I have a commercial sweep generator but there is something inherently satisfying in using home builds.

George,
it is for the same reason that I have asked for my name to be put down for a second batch if there should be one. I don't need one as I have several other options, but there is something satisfying in home build.

I started building the wobbulator tonight and came across a small issue, R11, I can't see it on the circuit diagram! Could someone point out if it's just my eyes or is it missing and if so, what value?
Thanks - Andrew

R11 is 1 megohm, and is connected to the junction of C7 (270pF) and the Gate of Q2, to Ground. It is missing from the schematic but is on the pcb. Mike

I thought I had posted the schematic with the missing resistor but obviously I didn't.
Final Schematic attached. Sorry about that. Peter |
