I happen to be camping about 2 miles away from Saturday so have agreed with the Station Manager for a pass out.

Not got room in the car for much but hoping to have a rummage in the boxes under the tables.

Over the last decade the serious action's between between opening-time and around 13:00z - the wind-down beginning rather earlier if the weather's bad.

Arrive at 14:00 and you'll be fighting the outbound traffic. Or you can get to pick-up a bargain that didn't sell during the day but the seller's happy to offload for a pittance rather than hauling it back home??

I plan to be there - look for the guy in an Aussie-style leather hat!

We (Poole Radio Society) usually pack up between 2pm and 3pm.
That seems to be the time that all the club stands close.

Some of the car boot fraternity leave earlier, others stay until the bitter end.

I'm hoping for you guys that the forecast's good; last year following predicted rain/hail there seemed to be an unfortunate Internet-imbroglio as to if the event was still on or not !

[I work with MetOffice-types: truth is I wouldn't trust their forecasts any further than I could spit a rat].

Last year I arrived around 30 minutes after official opening and saw a "Station Radio BCC HF156" snaffled from under my nose

The forecast at the moment is quite good, with some sunshine.

Look me up on the Poole RS stand.

(But dont blame me if it is raining! lol)

Thanks for the info. I remembering arriving once before just as everyone was packing up - and it was raining. Based on the likely closing time I probably won't make it but thanks again for enlightening me.

Does anyone know if Henry Westlake is still about?

Alas I wasn't able to make it: I had to go and catch someone's escaped Horse instead...
