Default Re: McMichael (Reading) Rally 2015, Sunday July 19th

Thanks for that reminder- I toddled along and came back with some promising loot- 5 EF37As, 3 ME1400s and 3 6J7s plus a couple of dekatrons(!) NIB ECH81 and ECL82 and a few other useful makeweights for a tenner. Nostalgia was rewarded by a Grant Squirrel data logger for a quid. Tempted by but resisted an Eddystone 22something AC/DC set for £20 with a pair of UL42 p-p output. Surprise of the day was meeting a couple of old mates I haven't seen for 30+ years since I left Racal in the early '80s. We gassed for so long that I missed the traction and vintage rally I'd planned for the afternoon! Glorious weather too in spite of the unpromising forecasts in the runup.
