Default Toroidal isolating transformer.

I happen to have a fairly hefty 110-0, 110-0 toroidal transformer. I think I had it wound for me some 25 years ago by one of the transformer winding companies.
It has been used to power a heating element (around 500W) for a very particular purpose. One day I'll get around to mounting it in a box
At the moment it's only used for about 1 hour every month or so, very under used. My question is: can I use it as an isolating transformer or perhaps slightly reduced mains power for my Euro 220V sets?

I assume your primary is 240. Should work fine, I use a 300VA 0-55,0-55 toroid (surplus following a cancelled repair) to power a US Harman Kardon 110 volt power + preamp.
You will find the off load volts a bit higher but not to worry about.
