Smile Akai 1722 W/L

Hi I'm new . I have an kai 1722 W/L reel to reel tape recorder I guess you might call it mid level domestic .Although it has power it will not advance or rewide all of a sudden the tension is there threading is coorect . I was going to pull it down and was trying to source a sevice manual you can ay for them on the web but these manual resellers always seem to want to trap you . If anyone has any tips or know where ican source a service manual it would be greatly appreciated regs con . PS Im in Australia

Hi, try hifiengine for schematics and service manual.

You have to join but it's free and trustworthy.
