Default Nakamichi MR-1 Cassette Deck - Mode select dead - any Service Manuals available?

Nakamichi MR1 - complaint was 'extreme flutter' . It is more pro version with 1/4" jacks for audio I/O. Extreme disassembly to replace dual capstan link belt and lub capstan bearings. Dual capstans primary drive is takeup Direct Drive motor and supply side capstan is belt linked as slave.

After reassembling, deck worked fine and snappy transport funcs. When tested for delivery, all funcs DEAD. Exam revealed that mode select motor not responding. Manually disconn'd motor and marked it's initial position. then externally powered mode select motor gear to minus 1/4 major turn. Reconnecting and repowering should have CPU commanding mode select motor to INIT position. Mode Select motor drive is DEAD - probably a wiring connection pulled loose upon massive disassembly to access capstan belt [the designer deserves flaming for plunderous skimping]

Does anybody have a schematic & PCB foils service info?? [my usual online manual suppliers cannot deliver a svc manual for this model -

The Nak BX-300 was very similar, but without the mic inputs.
You can get service manual here;
http://www.hifiengine.com/manuals/na...i/bx-300.shtml

Hope this helps.

Note that the OP hasn't logged in for nearly 3 months and asked the question 7 months ago, so may well have solved the problem by now. Hope so anyway!
