Default BVWS Autumn 2025 Bulletin

Mine has just arrived. I haven't had a look yet but looking forward to some interesting reading over the next few evenings.

The RWB booking form is enclosed and I have also added it to the BVWS website.

Just been reading through the latest Bulletin, including the excellent article on The RCA superhet transistor set, by John Clappison.
There’s an expanded article, by John, with more pictures etc on the American Antique Radio Forum :
https://antiqueradios.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=427126
A great read !

The superhet shirt pocket radio in question was demonstrated in New York, nearly a year before the Regency TR1 which went on sale in the autumn of 1954. I found this interesting fact out quite by chance while talking to John. this is forum member John Raskauskas who kindly let me use his research and pictures. BTW their magazine editor is another forum member Battery Maker.

John.

I've asked the Bulletin editor to check with the printers to see if there was any problem with despatch for particular parts of the country. I'll report back.

Jeremy has asked me to post the following:

We have not been told of any problems by the printers. Post does sometimes go astray. Apologies if you are still missing your Bulletin.

If it has still not arrived, please contact the BVWS Membership Secretary and he will organise a replacement. Contact details in the previous Bulletin or on the BVWS website.
