Default Grundig SRT 32P radio cassette help.

Hi.

I picked up this radio for a Ford Capri, I believe it's made by Grundig and the model is SRT 32P. When I connect the unit up to a power supply the motor runs even without a tape being inserted. I presume there must be a switch of some sort to recognise that a tape has been inserted but I don't know where. Does anyone have any knowledge of this or similar radios who could explain how it works?

Thanks in advance, James.

Just realised I hadnt attached any photos of the radio!

Hopefully somebody might now be able to give me some pointers about how the play mechanism works : )
