Thanks Simon. I'm not quite sorted out yet but I'm feeling a little bit better each day. Alan's cake is indeed fantastic.

Thanks all.

Hi Mike

I think that "couple of weeks" is about 1565.

I was joking when I said that the cake was almost eaten, I will keep some for the Sollihul gathering next month. It is a fruit cake and will store well.

I agree, it is a work of art,

Regards

Hi everyone.

Well, although I'm still not really completely better, I'm learning to put up with this pesky (but not too serious) medical problem, and I thought it was about time to rearrange the Solihull meetup.

So, with that in mind - How are people fixed for Saturday the 14th of July? You can turn up as early as you want (within reason) on Saturday morning and leave as late on Saturday/Sunday as you want too. There are plenty of spare spaces on floors/sofas and even spare beds if anyone requires accomodation. Beer and other alcoholic things can then be consumed in the evening without fear of the breathalizer.

Please bring any TV-related junk that you'd like to swap/sell/give away/dump - I'm sure it can all be found good homes with the other people that come along.

There will be the usual Tea/Coffee/Beer/Squash/Biscuits/Cakes etc. available free of charge but if anyone would like to bring extra odds-and-ends of food or drink then that would be even better - we had tons last year and it was excellent. Lunch is a short walk away at The Drum and Monkey on Four Ashes Road - the food is always very good and everyone had a great nosh-up there previously.

Leave a message here if you'd like to come along and I can PM my address and phone details to those who don't already have them. My house is easy to find from either Junction 4 or 5 off the M42.

Thanks everyone.

Kind regards.

From Mike.
PS. A small workshop is available for TV fixing too, plus the dining-room table of course. And there are gallons of components upstairs too if you need the odd resistor / capacitor etc.

Hi Mike,

I hope to be with you, I do'nt think I have any conflicting events. I'm afraid the cake is now down to the last couple of slices, and had siarted to dry out. Perhaps I should try and persuade her to make another.......

Hi Mike,

I'd love to come and bring junk to swap, be great to see you (and the usual crowd again) too!
I would possibly like to take advantage of your kind offer of accomodation too if I may?

Should be an excellent day!!

Cheers.

Hi Mike.

Just logged in to check up on the date and sadly I won't be able to make it.

Hope it all goes really well - in fact I know it will.

Best wishes mate,

Hi everyone.

Thank you to everyone who replied recently that I rudely didn't reply back to. I'm looking forward to the event next month and meeting all my old pals immensely. Sorry Tas, Simon and Glen can't make it but there's always next year.

There will be several other people coming who've replied via PM or verbally too so it should be a good day. If the weather is good then perhaps a barbeque in the evening would be in order too.

Don't forget to bring food to share (if you like - not obligatory in the slightest) and plenty of TV-related junk to swap / dump / give away etc. Also name-badges would be fantastic too.

Thanks everyone. See you in July.

Kind regards.

From Mike.

Hi Simon.

That sounds excellent. Last time people turned up from about 08:30 so any time after that is fine.

Thanks Simon.

Kind regards.
