Agree about the bias requirements on the 6V6. I did once try it (in a wartime civilian wireless) when I was about 15. It did "sort of" work, but there was obvious distortion.
As to the true original valve line-up the only way to be sure is to unearth some service information. I couldn't find anything on it, hence my posting here. C |

Still intending to look at this wireless to see if it has solid state detector/agc diodes underneath and will post findings soon. Been working on a recently acquired KB DR10.

If you look at the Ferguson 207 radio on trader sheet 844 you will see that it has a similar chassis.
There is no RF stage. However the circuit may be more similar to the Ferguson 104 (AC) which is on trader sheet 491. |
