I do not know about the machine in question but looking at the plug in Post 18 it looks like the top 2 pins and the bottom 2 pins are equally spaced apart.
I maybe wrong but thought ones I have seen before on tape recorders and associated microphones, that the top 2 pins (with the plastic lug inbetween) are closer together than the lower 2 pins. David |

I am very pleased to report that an extremely helpful member of this forum has provided a solution which works perfectly. It is the same plug as in the photo on one end but it needed another piece of circuitry , too technical for me to describe , to output to a standard stereo phono cable. It sounds great . Thanks everyone for all your help and advice.
