Default Display Fault on scanning but not on programming Signal R-532 Airband Rx

Hi Forum I have a problem with the LED Segments in the display on my Signal R-532 when it is in "Write" mode all the segments function as they should but switch to "Scan" or "Manual" modes and the 2 segments either side of the decimal point become intermittent. I have loaded frequencies to other address banks and the random fault seems to be the same I have a second one which I haven't really looked at yet as it was bought recently in a SK sale . Is this common with these sets ? Is their anyone who can give these a good service and alignment as my health is deteriorating best 73 Paul Stockport
