Default Glassman DC power supply LV 300-3.5

I have a Glassman Power supply LV300-3.5 it works normal but will only go up to 137 volts and not any higher, tried glassman Europe Uk for a service manual but no help as the unit is obsolete . Tried the settings pots in user manual no difference.
Does anyone have a service manual so that i can try to find the fault.
Its a very complex circuit many ics and pots with out a service manual or other knowledge its not much use at the voltage i need it for.

Don't think I've seen any service information for these power supplies, but I believe they were actually made by Xantrex in Canada and re-branded under several different names including Glassman (model XHW 300-3.5 looks similar to the LV 300-3.5), also Dave Jones of the EEVblog has done a tear-down video of slightly higher rated one (Xantrex XFR 300-4).

There was service information for some of the Glassmans. We got hold of the information for one of the lower voltage but higher current ones attempted to crowbar a car battery and need a repair. It doesn't help directly but don't give up trying to find it.

Hello,
I have the technical manual here for the LV series PSUs, which includes the 300-3.5. I’ll scan it sometime this week and e-mail you a copy.
I have the higher voltage 600-1.7 that was scrapped due to water ingress, I’ve got the replacement components, but current it’s on the “round tuit” pile (mountain?)

Regards
Mike A.

I had a quick look inside a faulty 150-7 version (not mine, but has a similar fault) of around 1996 vintage, it doesn't look as complicated as I thought it would be, having seen the one in the EEVblog video. It's all through hole parts (unless there are surface mount parts on the bottom of the PCB), most of the IC's are in sockets, the control & volt & amp meters (based on 7107 IC's) are on a separate front panel mounted PCB, there is an internal link for changing the mains voltage of the small transformer between 110V & 230V, also part of the left side of the case was empty (was there an option PCB in some?).
The PCB was branded Xantrex as I thought it would be, the other name I've seen these power supplies branded as is Ametek Sorensen.

I did once notice one of these had a noisy spot on the 10 turn voltage control pot, the voltage would jump up to near maximum, not good for some applications. They also used to interfere with AM & some FM radio signals, that's not a problem any more as we haven't been allowed to listen to radios or music for the last few years.

I suspect the circuit diagrams would be of interest to others if you posted them on here.
