Thank you for your replies, mine does need 1000mA, too. I've messaged the seller and im waiting for a reply. I'm sure i'll find one somewhere if I cannot swap for whatever reason.

Like you say, I could also buy one if it comes to it.

I would go for a 12v 2A PSU rather than a 1Amp unit, that may be operating at its limit with that TV.

They are abort a fiver, and usually sold for CCTV camera or LED tape lighting use.

I found a 12V, 1A PSU that used to belong to an old network switch that spectacularly routed its last packet one hot Summer's day. Voltage was OK, and confirmed that centre pin is definitely positive, but I had no way to do a load test.

If you think it would suit your telly, you're welcome to it -- PM me your address. It's switched-mode, so postage isn't going to be exorbitant.

Hi,

Just thought i’d wrap this thread up

I know have a fully working 5” TV - the issue was mains ripple fixed with a mains adaptor Julie sent to me.
