Very nice repair, what do you do with all you free time I think the original paint should be left, once it is painted with modern paint it will lose its originality and patina. I have a Ferguson 205B valve portable waiting for a final bit of work. This has 2 Volt parallel heaters and 120 Volt HT. The power supply is a bit of a problem as the heater current is around 0.5A.
