Members B&W & CTV's
Hi everyone,
I'm really getting into the TV thing again at the mo and was just thinking it would be nice to see other Forum Members sets, possibly a couple of pics of each, one of the outside and one of it's inards maybe? The more pics of early CTV's the better Cheers Lee

Here are mine, first the monochrome:
www.beocentral.com/categories/mtv Here are the hybrid colour sets, the 2800 isn't mine though, I dont think they sold those here. www.beocentral.com/categories/tvh When I get to it I'll post some pictures of the 2600 running, it's an amazing set and gives really super results. |

Re: Members B&W & CTV's
Hello,
here is a part of my little collection: http://digilander.libero.it/tubeamp/...collection.htm Please note I have more Tv sets in my collection (about 30, counting a huge 27" from 1954 and a projection Tv, if I'm lucky I will soon add to the count a tube color TV and a Bush TV22...), but I need to restore 'em first, then I will make the dedicated web page Cheers Giulio Maiocco |

Re: Members B&W & CTV's
Hi all,
It's good to see other peoples collections and see what they have. Mikey I have seen your site before, It was your webpage that shifted my interest from radios to TV's!!! Chipp, you have some cracking looking sets there, Is that a GEC 2028 in the background of one of the pics? I really want to get hold of some more early CTV's now as I only have the K70. I wish I was in to this game around 12-15 years ago as I remember going to the tip with my dad and there would always be a big pile of hybrid CTV's in the corner of the yard.(I used to pinch the valves out of them when the staff weren't looking!) Now of course they seem to come up less often and when they do they fetch fair prices. Cheers everyone. Lee

Re: Members B&W & CTV's
Took these latest pics of my TV house a few days ago. A lot of receivers are hidden behind others that in turn are hidden behind yet more..... The last pic is the vintage workshop. Regards, John.

Re: Members B&W & CTV's
I don't heat it Chipp but run a dehumidifier that removes any dampness. Its the damp air that destroys the transformers! J.

Re: Members B&W & CTV's
I have only two vintage colour TV sets in the shop collection. They are the 405 line Pye and the RCA CTC7. Both have been recent topics on this forum.
I keep the GEC 2028 at home. I'm not a keen collector of dual-standard CTVs. I do not like the Philips G6, certainly would not have one of those in my collection. I think that it is an awful set! However, there is one set I'd like to add to the collection and it is dual standard, it is the fabulous BRC 2000. I should not forget to mention the Philips 819/625 SECAM model TVC3, the first colour TV to be marketed in France. This beautiful set is on display in Scotland. I do have a number of pre-war TVs in the shop collection. DFWB. DFWB. |
