Re: Bvws dvd
I watched a committee preview/test copy of the DVD a few weeks ago. It is an excellent tribute to Gerry, showing him in the Museum talking about the subject he devoted his life to.
I'm sure many of us will let "Radio Times" on the main menu screen play right through at least once before selecting a film... I did! Special thanks to Terry Martini for transferring the material to digital format, Jon Evans for video editing/cleaning and compiling the DVD, and the Museum for allowing the footage to be used in this way. |

Re: Bvws dvd
Good news and bad news! The good news is that mine arrived yesterday, but the bad news is that it has a printing defect, The central batch of pages, pages 25 to 40, are very faint and 'washed out' - it lools like the printer was short of ink! I don't imagine this is a one-off problem, more likely a whole batch of the print run will have been affected, so others might be reporting the same thing.

Re: Bvws dvd
Mine arrived today, and made me smile as I removed it from the envelope. I thought the cover illustration was very Through the Looking Glass .
The printing on mine looks absolutely fine.

Re: Bvws dvd
Mine's just arrived. No problems with it at all.
The envelope and yellow address insert made it look very "official" though, so I opened it with trepidation, and was delighted and relieved to find that it was the Bulletin! N. |

Re: Bvws dvd
Mine arrived yesterday but haven't had time to watch the DVD yet. I almost fell off my seat when I saw the article on the 3 EF50 radio restoration. I recognised the radio immediately as it was previously mine and had it for many years and other than restoring the cabinet and polishing the dial surround I never got around to restoring it completely and put it on the bring and buy stall at RWB last year. My copy of the bulletin is in good condition all the way through.

Re: Bvws dvd
Haven't touched the magazine yet but watched the DVD which is an excellent production by all concerned. Very enjoyable and a lovely reminder of Gerry Wells' knowledge and humour.
Great stuff! Peter |

Hello Christopher
I'm pleased that you enjoyed my article on the 3 EF50 radio. I couldn't resist buying it because I'd never seen one before. I love saving unusual radios that are relatively cheap. Good that you didn't scrap it! Best reds. Stef |

Re: Bvws dvd
Mine has a printing defect also...ok to page 24 then pages 9-16 reappear (as duplicates) followed by 49-56 (as duplicates) then back to 41 and on to the end ok, so I'm missing pages 25-40 all very odd. The adverts and inserts are there.
Obviously a sorter problem. I've fired an email off to Martyn.

Re: Bvws dvd
I've also emailed Martyn and asked for a replacement copy.
I've double-checked my copy to see if it also had the pages repeated, but they are the correct ones, just very faint. Andy |

Oh blimey,
I'd better check mine as I've been saving it for when I finish work for Christmas (Fri 18th) and haven't even looked at it yet! Cheers
