Default AVO Model 7 problems

Hello,
Just bought a model 7 s/n 59820 7/12/71 ( side sticker ) on a local flea market.
It has its leather case, original wires with extention clips.
Cosmetically very good.
Electrically, what a joy !!
Nothing happened...
Downloaded the user's manual with schematic.
Found the 25 ohm resistor in series with the meter movement open.
Found an erratic contact within the swiching blades.
BIG problem is ALL the diodes on the supporting board behind the meter are blown.
My questions :
Can I replace all of them with 1N34 germanium diodes ?
Can I use a 1N4007 as the extra protectin diode labelled S.A.I. ?
Is there a drawing showing the parts placement with their values ?
All wiring is done with medium sized grey bare wire... not very user-friendly.
Thank you very much for any informations !
Best 73's,
Daniel, ON5PY
