Default Telequipment S1 Manual!

Hi!

I am in the process of waiting for a Manual for the TQ S1 Single TB Plug-in to arrive and will be made available on here & TekWiki when it arrives!

Hi!

I'll get it scanned a.s.a.p!

One little query – according to the circuit diagram in the S1 Manual I received, the main TB circuits were built on a PCB referenced "PC142" but TQ don't appear to have provided a Component Layout Diagram (not mentioned in the Contents List!) – is there another TQ Manual that has a diagram of PC142?

Chris Williams

Unfortunately S1 plugins aren't common enough for me to buy one to take the PCB out of to depopulate and scan!

For creating a diagram of the PCB layout, a set of good quality photos of the relevant PCB sides should be sufficient. One only needs to remove the camera and perspective distortion, then graphically repair the traces where covered by components and put everything together. Regarding the scale: TQ did not print the layouts true to scale in their manuals. In many cases they just scaled them down to fit on the pages.

btw.: There is a whole bunch of comparatively rare TQ module manuals(V1, V3, S1) at sale at ebay right now from someone in the UK who is sorting out his personal collection.

Here's a scanned PDF of my copy of the V1 manual if anyone needs one.

Hi!

Thanks for posting that Alan – it'll save me a tenner buying one & brownie–points for scanning the PCB layout diagrams in colour!

Chris Williams

PS!

My S1 Manual is coming but I need to do it at my fleapit's office scanner so it'll be a few days yet!

Thank you for sharing this.

Would you mind if I create a page for the V1 on TekWiki and upload the file to there?

More than happy for a copy to be posted on TekWiki. I can do a better copy of the photo of the module featured on the front page if you like?

Although it does not appear under Telequipment the V3 manual is there. You have to use the search box to find it.

In a few days time I am expecting delivery of a paper copy of the manual for my V5 delay amplifier. I will scan this and send it off to Tekwiki.

Well found Al. A copy of the V5 manual would be much appreciated when available.

Hi!

I got a V5 in my collection of recently acquired TQ scopes, so I'd appreciate a copy of the V5 Book as well Al!

No problem. I will email copies when I've got round to scanning it.

I just created a V1 page on TekWiki and also tried to improve some other pages and cross referencing.

If you have suitable inside and outside photos of the V1, V2, V3, V5, TV1 or S1, like the ones I made for the S2a/c and the V4, I can upload them for you if you like. It would be a nice addition to the available documentation.

When I get a moment I'll photograph my V5 plug-ins. By the way the S2a/c link doesn't seem to be working.

As a bonus Denis here are a couple of shots of my V3 plug-in. This came in its original box and I would guess it's only been used a couple of times so I'm reluctant to open it up. V5 photos to follow with internal shots.

I'm not sure of TekWiki's resolution, format and size requirements but if you'd like to send a PM with details plus your email address I'll see what I can do.

Shots of V5 as promised. Yellow blob is some kind of asset identifier from a previous existence. Gloss paint I think and not easy to remove without damage. Knobs need a good scrub, sorry.

Apologies to Chris for wandering a long way off topic.
