Default Mystery Transformer....pls help identify.

Hi All,

What I can tell you is that it's an EL84 transformer, and that it has (at least) a 16ohm tap.

Can anybody identify the manufacturer? I think it dates from 1967/68.

Many thanks, John.

It looks like pretty much any generic valve output-transformer as made by loads of different outfits and ubiquitous in radios/record-players etc. over a couple of decades.

I agree, it does look generic. Thing is, it's from a very rare amplifier...a late 67 18W Marshall. Prior to this, they used RS EL84 and Heavy Duty OT's.

Perhaps it's made by Drake, as this coincides with when Marshall switched to Drake.
