Default Pye 1005 Achoid

As most people know this record player uses a modified BSR UA16.

The arm is elongated at the back and the arm cannot be raised enough to get at the mounting nut underneath.

As far as I can see the only way to remove the arm is by loosening the bearing screw at the side and removing the arm that way.

Can someone please confirm.

To be specific it is a modified BSR UA15 fitted in the Achioc. Yes, you are correct as to the method of the tone-arm's removal. It has a very limited lift and has no tracking weight adjustment, it being designed exclusively for the Butterfly cartidge.
