Default Anyone know of this Invicta console set?

Can't find any information. Just got it off ebay. It has no model number as far as I can see. Would love to see it working again.

There's no picture of it on: http://www.thevalvepage.com/tvmanu/invicta/invicta.htm

but the model number could be listed there. Maybe tube size, number of valves, will help indentify. Is it a 17" or 21"? It certainly looks late 50's

Yeah that's what I thought probably 58-60ish. It's 21" very large indeed. I'll have a look at the inside tonight and post up some information. Would be great to watch 405 line television on a tube that size.

Looks in nice condition, it will use a Pye chassis, probably using PCB's. I agree that it dates from the late 50's/early 60,s.
I hope you have a good CRT, should be an easy restore.

A photo of the chassis would help.

Picture of chassis here

Seems to say model J44. 15 valves and a mullard MW53-88 tube.

looks like the same chassis used in my Pam 600F, like Invicta, Pam was also a Pye brand.
My set performs very well since I restored it. It should not be a difficult job, although the caps on the LOPT are a pain to change.
