Question Tester AT 4557

An item of what I suspect is a piece of vintage telephony equipment and possibly ex-military - which is for sale at an auction near me - has caught my eye. It is marked TESTER AT 4557.
An Internet search revealed nothing.
Anyone know anything about it, please?

Thanks.
Al.

Tester AT4557 - For testing current adj. of relays other than double coil bridge types. See also Tester AT4569 and then the Vocabulary of Engineering Stores goes on to list all its components.

Hope that helps?

If you're a member of THG*, there is a circuit diagram on their (members-only) resource section.

*If you're not a member, I definitely recommend it if you are serious about old telecommunication equipment.

Thank you for your replies. I did make a remote 'commission bid', but that was unsuccessful in obtaining this item.
