Default Uxbridge English Dictionary

Many forum members are fans of I'm Sorry I haven't a Clue, a programme which can surely now be described as Vintage. This online version of the Uxbridge English Dictionary contains a number of useful technical terms

http://www.alspcs.com/main.html

Christoper Capener may particularly enjoy this one...

Saxophones: A large bag full of telecommunication devices.

Jeffrey,

Many thanks for the link from a house full of ISIHAC fans - absolutely cracking.

Not sure what my sons English teacher will make of them though

I got a paper version for Christmas a few years ago; these definitions seem to be different but just as hilarious. Figuring out just how some twisted mind was working to come up with the definitions is quite engaging. A taste for puns definitely helps

From a quick trawl, I rather like this one:

Inkling:

The suspicious feeling you're being massively ripped off when you buy a printer cartridge.

I've had the book version for a few years now. There's also Professor Branestawm's Dictionary:

Abominable = Explosive device in male cow
