Default Wharfdale laser 120 speakers

I picked these up earlier this week. The cabinets are scruffy but they work and sound rather good so today I set about removing the speakers and tweeters so that I could spruce up the cabinets. it was then I noticed that one of the crossover units had been altered. the first two photos are of the unmolested unit. The last two are of the other which has a capacitor missing and what looks like a replacement cap that is the wrong rating. Both the large speakers and the tweeter are working. Would it be a good idea to just replace all of the caps with new ones?

I wouldn't put a lot of effort into these, as they are pretty run-of-the-mill speakers. If you want to use them you could just replace any dodgy looking electrolytics with polyprops. No need to spend money on boutique caps.

Yes that's what I thought Paul but should I replace what is missing? If I have a look around in the garage I probably have what I need anyway so no need to waste money.

Yes, the caps and inductors form LC filters so that frequency to the drivers rolls off at the right frequency, if there's a missing C ther filter won't work properly.

If one of the crossovers is complete, just use that as a model for the other one.
