Default 6K8....Application Note.

I found this while looking for something else:

http://www.r-type.org/pdfs/1938-6k8.pdf

The something else was more info about the 6K8g & 6V6g critical heater voltage as first found in here:

https://frank.pocnet.net/other/AWV_R...ronics_098.pdf

Lawrence.

Just a heads up on this:

https://frank.pocnet.net/other/AWV_Radiotronics/

The whole library is available there!! Something for everybody.
This page isnt all that easy to find at Franks site.
A similar "internal" magazine that I have been searching for, for ages is

The Miniwatt Digest

Does anybody have a link? or perhaps copies that they would scan ?
Its another Australian publication, but may have been produced in other countries.

A couple of interesting references, Lawrence.

I like the style of printing on those pages, pleasing to the eye compared to the rather bland style of a modern technical note.

Do you mean the original post or the post by Joe?

The following were some of the things that caught my attention...

...Mixer valve development....with ref to the 6K8...Sliding screen problem reduced in vari mu hexode mixer....Shield plates in effect acting as a suppressor.

6V6g & 6k8g....It was new to me about their emission properties regarding their cathode temperature....

Lawrence.
