Sinclair DN235 DMM
Split from this thread:-
https://www.vintage-radio.net/forum/...d.php?t=207304 Can we keep threads on topic please. It takes a lot of work to split them. Oh yes the one I don't use is a Sinclair DM235, as measuring the voltage of a flat D cell will kill it, so it sits on the shelf looking pretty? Mick. Re: Sinclair DN235 DMM
How does measuring the voltage of a flat D-cell kill anything? Or is it the old trick of measuring how much current it will deliver to give an idea of the cell's health à la AVO on its 10A range that does it?

Re: Sinclair DN235 DMM
Hi NOT reading current reading voltage every time it is used it gives random readings, flat d cell reads .9v next time same cell 5 mins later reads 2v. in my opinion it is so fragile and easly damaged i do not use it. If it can not give an accurate reading what is the point . Sorry for the throw away comment that had to be moved Mick
